Just Before Opening Day, Baseball Cancer Rides
Mar 30th, 2008 by DoctorD
Just as a reminder before the season begins officially in 42 minutes, the following are all starting the season under the grim sign of Baseball Cancer.
- John Smoltz - Shoulder inflammation. Starting the season on the DL.
- John Lackey - Starting on the DL with a strained triceps. Out until mid-May.
- Francisco Liriano - Alright, he wasn’t injured, but he did get tossed down to the minors to open 2008. Because of J-Bla.
By the way, the curse extends to me apparently. Our other - rarely cited - blogger DMan told me Mike Cameron would be a good injury replacement at centre field.
….he didn’t tell me he was suspended 25 games for performance enhancing drugs.
Asshat.
How’s that Schilling pickup going for ya?
*shrug* I didn’t pick him, I had a free DL spot and his story amuses me.
He is currently supplying red socks to my pitching rotation.
