This says good things to me.
One, the Yanks are full of piss and vinegar and Shelly Duncan is a rockin’ dude. Two, Girardi stands up for his players. Three, Rays-Yanks is going to be awesome in the regular season. I always like new rivalries and the Devil Rays are a great foil for the Yankees. They’re a young team with some decent players that may be better than expected, but they’re still the D-Rays, so they get to the play “Nobody expected dis!” card that always fires up athletes.
